The Michigan Fitness Foundation invites all Michigan communities to host a 2010 Labor Day Community Walk. By hosting a Labor Day Walk, your community will be a part of Michigan's annual Labor Day tradition.

The annual Mackinac Bridge Walk began on Labor Day in 1958 and draws approximately 50,000 Michigan residents each year. By encouraging communities to host their own “virtual bridge walk,” we can work to increase the number of people being active this Labor Day weekend.

For more information about the Mackinac Bridge walk, click here.

Ready to get moving ? To sign up your community or request more information, and receive a FREE Labor Day Walk packet to help guide you in planning a successful Labor Day Community Walk send an e-mail to Jill at joveracker@michiganfitness.org.
