Get Moving During Employee Health and Fitness Month

Celebrate with employers and employees across the state on May 18, 2011 for the 22nd annual Employee Health and Fitness Month designed to promote physical activity in the workplace.

All organizations are invited to celebrate commitment to employee wellness or to kick-start an innovative wellness program. Observing EHFM can be a simple, healthy and fun way to interact with employers and employees. Promote physical activity on May 18th by organizing a lunch hour walk and offer incentives for employees who participate, or pass out fruit to each employee. For a long term workplace fitness plan, provide healthy snacks at office meetings, send employees a weekly wellness bulletin with healthy tips or encourage employees to take the stairs. Click here for a list of EHFM ideas and ways to build a healthy worksite all year.

Register your worksite now for Employee Health and Fitness Month in Michigan. Registration is quick, easy and free. Complete the downloadable form and e-mail it to kheck@michiganfitness.org or fax it to Katie Heck at 517-347-8145. Once registered, your worksite will be recognized here.
