Governor's Fitness Awards

As the Michigan Fitness Foundation continues efforts to create a healthier Michigan through quality physical education, nutrition education and community design, other individuals and organizations are also doing their parts to role model, encourage and fo2009 Kuntzleman Award winnersster healthy lifestyles.

The Governor’s Fitness Awards serves as a platform for recognizing individuals, public officials and organizations that are committed to healthy living. Each year, eight awards are presented in acknowledgement of the many different ways the award winners are inspiring and influencing Michigan residents to accept the challenge of committing to regular physical activity.

The awards event also serves as a fundraiser for the Michigan Fitness Foundation, a 501 (c)3 non-profit public charity foundation. The Michigan FitnessFoundation envisions a physically educated population with the knowledge and skills to enjoy a healthy, vigorous and safe lifestyle in communities designed to support physical activity.

The 2010 Governor’s Fitness Awards event will be held on Tuesday, November 9 at the Radisson Hotel Lansing. For more information, please contact Gretchen Mensing.
