ACES Day Celebration

University of Michigan hosts All Children Exercise Simultaneously Day for local schools

One thousand Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor elementary students gathered in the University of Michigan’s Oosterban Field House to celebrate All Children Exercise Simultaneously Day 2014. Governor’s Council member and owner of Bollyfit, Anuja Rajendra, led a dance activity to keep students moving while U of M athletes joined the celebration of fitness with the children. ACES Day reinforces the idea that exercise is fun and anyone can get active whenever, wherever and however they want.

Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan sponsored ACES Day 2014 and Vic Verchereau, vice president of marketing for Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan, helped get everyone moving and eager to exercise. The Michigan Fitness Foundation is grateful for our partnership with David Brandon, honorary Governor’s Council co-chair and U of M athletic director, which allowed us to host our biggest feature event yet, with more than 1,000 students!

ACES Day is an annual, global event that brings students together from all 50 states and more than 50 countries to celebrate exercise and fun physical activity. Approximately one thousand Michigan schools participated in 2014. Congratulations to all schools working to keep kids active in Michigan!
