Register, Complete, Repeat

Community leaders in the city of Manistique, Mich. are using results from the Promoting Active Communities (PAC) assessment, ( not only to develop their local non-motorized transportation plan, but also to ensure they are on track with implementing the plan.

“Participating in the PAC program multiple years in a row has helped us stay on track with our action plan for non-motorized transportation,” said Kerry Ott, community coordinator at Strategic Alliance for Health. “Seeing our improved score in subsequent years has been a great boost of motivation. We were especially glad to see the addition of Complete Streets to the assessment in 2013.”

Act now to learn more, register and complete the Promoting Active Communities (PAC) assessment at by July 15 to receive feedback that will help catalyze an active living movement in your community.

Any city, village, township or charter township is eligible to register and earn an award for their efforts in helping to create a more walkable and bikeable community.
