Smart Commute 2014

Let’s Smart Commute

Smart Commute is a way to reduce your carbon footprint, increase physical activity and engage in some friendly competition using active transportation.  Employee teams are encouraged to commute to work, meetings and lunch using something other than the traditional one person to one car transportation. The Greater Lansing's Smart Commute Week 2014 will take place on  June 8 to June 21 and is hosted by the Mid-Michigan Environmental Action Council (MidMEAC).

Types of Active Transportation include:

·       Walking

·       Biking

·       Paddling

·       Carpooling

·       Public Transit

Encourage your team to track their trips and earn points for each one. MidMEAC will award winning teams and team members for their accomplishments throughout the two weeks.
